Halton People into Jobs

Halton People into Jobs
is the core project of the SRB 4 'Realising the Benefits' bid,
and has been rolled out,
to work in the SRB 5 Focus for Change bid. The project is supported by the Government's Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Its primary aim is to focus on alleviating certain aspects of employment issues,
such as high levels of unemployment.

The Halton Employment Charter is an agreement between 'Halton Employers' and 'local people' to work closely together, to improve employment prospects and opportunities in Halton, UK.

Employers are awarded the 'Halton Employment Charter'
for promoting The Halton
Employment Charter, and, for their involvement and support of its objectives, to improve the number of local people getting local employment.

People who are currently unemployed have the opportunity to improve their employment prospects through the Halton Charter Training Programme. The Success Programme is delivered in its entirety as The Halton Employment Charter and is recognised by Halton employers and local people as a commitment made to improving employment and working partnerships. Currently the Charter is offered as part of provision within New Deal gateway, Basic Employability, Employment Service and by local training providers.



Initial results from delivery of
'The Success Programme', through the Halton Employment Charter, have been extremely positive. Extensive research has been carried out to track delegate's progress during the programme and, after the course, as they move into employment. These findings are available by contacting us.
